    I think that the theme was. If tyou want something from someone then you need to be nice and ask and not just be rude and just like say I want that give it to me. I think that the message from the author is thAt you need to care about other people before you think about yourself. And be nice to other people and don't be you know selfcentered.

    the messege is dont think what you think it is because Matsui was thinking the cup was wurth a lot of money but it was priceless so the messege is dont think what you think.

    dont buy stuff thats worth less and then tell someone that its worth a lot of money i figured this out becuase in the story the tea cup was worth less and Yamamoto sold it for 500 pices of gold

    i agree with Paige because if you lie what the money is you might not get a lot of money because what if you said "one million dollors" and the other person said" NO! ten dollors" so dont lie about how much the money is worth.
